The Gym is a traditional sports hall: a great, flexible and very light space for sports and fitness activities of all kinds.
It has fixed basketball hoops and court markings for basketball and badminton. Badminton net available.
Timber floor. Adjacent accessible toilet and close by changing rooms with toilets.
HVCC don't offer this space for parties, but it’s often available on Sunday afternoons if you’d like to include a sports session in your party, when booking the Main Hall, Small Hall or both in the Party Package.
Filming is more expensive. Please get in touch if you wish to film in this space.

Very disappointed, we arrived at 1pm for my Grandsons 3rd birthday party, no one was there to let us in, we found a way through the community centre and opened the door ourselves. The kitchen was locked and we couldn't contact anyone, so we were unable to cook any party food!!! You can imagine how disappointed and upset we were! I appreciate the key holder situation is voluntary, however if you are hiring out the premises it should be treated like a business! I am assured I will be reimbursed for one hour of the hire, however it wasn’t the best day

- Cancellations made over 2 weeks in advance of the hire date will receive a full refund
- Bookings made within 2 weeks of the hire date will have a 48 hour grace period from the time of booking to cancel and receive a full refund
- All other cancellations will receive no refund
