A spacious, versatile and well-equipped church hall.

The hall is currently available from 9am till 9.30pm (7pm for social events).

As stated in St Michael's hire terms, a deposit will be required for any event you wish to book.

For one-off bookings, the deposit is the same amount as the hire charge.

For regular hirers, the deposit is the hire charge for two sessions. Deposits are retained until the hirer gives notice to the PCC that it does not wish to book any further sessions.

St Michael's also allows a £10/hr discount to members of St Michael’s electoral roll (the church membership list), so please get in touch if this applies to you!

A checklist for check-in and checkout will be provided separately for each booking, and whoever is responsible for allowing access will go through this with hirers either on arrival, or previously by arrangement
There won't be a member of staff on site during your booking. If you have any issues contact the venue contact provided

Expectations will be explained at checkin and are listed in our Hire Conditions:
By no later than the end of each session, the Hirer must ensure that:
(a) All floors in the Space have been mopped and swept clean.
(b) Condition 29 ['29. The large black paladin refuse bin to the left of the car parking area is for use by Hirers for non-recyclable waste, provided it is bagged up in suitable bin liners (to be provided by the Hirer) which are tied up. Nappies and sanitary towels must be placed in the paladin bin, and in no circumstances in the kitchen bin or flushed down the toilets. Recyclable waste must be removed by the Hirer'] has been complied with as regards all litter, waste or refuse arising from the Hiring and none of it is left anywhere in or near the Space or the Building.
(c) All equipment and property belonging to or brought by the Hirer or anyone attending their session, including all food and recyclable waste, have been removed. If any such item is left behind in the Space after any session, the PCC may dispose of it if it remains unclaimed after one week’s notice by e-mail to the Hirer of its intention to do so, and the Hirer will indemnify the PCC against any claim by any third party arising from any such disposal.
(d) All furniture and equipment (including, if the Space includes the kitchen, any crockery, cutlery or other items in the kitchen) which were situated in the Space when the session began have been returned to their original position. Adult chairs must not be stacked more than 6 high and must be stored against and facing the south wall to reduce the risk of tipping onto a child or a child trying to climb onto them. Folding tables must be placed against the east wall with at least two stacks of 6 chairs in front of them to keep them in position.
(e) The remainder of the interior of the premises, and the exterior, are in as clean and tidy a condition as they were when the session began and, if any use has been made of the kitchen, all food contact surfaces and other areas within the kitchen have been cleaned with antibacterial disinfectant surface spray in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
(f) All external doors and windows have been secured.
(g) The toilets, kitchen and all doors including fire doors must be carefully inspected, including checking that all taps and lights have been turned off and that, in order to contain any fire, the doors between the lobby and the hall and the kitchen door and shutters have been closed.

  • Any hire by or on behalf of a political party or organisation which is the subject of a written declaration in force for the time being by the House of Bishops pursuant to section 8(4) of the Clergy Discipline Measure 2003 as amended to the effect that the constitution, policies, objectives, activities or public statements of that party or organisation are incompatible with the teaching of the Church of England in relation to the equality of persons or groups of different races

Great space for a joint 3 year olds’ birthday party. Was nice and warm when we arrived. Easy checkin and checkout, no issues!

Hiring the space was straightforward. However there was no microwave as mentioned and nowhere to put bin bags, so had to take home with us. The hall is very particular with what is or isn't allowed (no amplified music, no alcohol, no children under 16 to go on the stage, etc.) so less suitable for some events. Was good for a children's party though. Plenty of chairs and tables available.

Such a brilliant experience for my 6 year olds bday party. The Reverend was so accommodating when we had a date change. Full kitchen and lots of sockets around the hall, plenty of chairs and tables. Lovely big space. Will book again
