We have many enquiries for children’s parties which take place in the large secure walled garden, sometimes with bouncy castles (or with bouncy castle inside the hall itself in the winter months!). ​The hall is a large spacious room with access to a large kitchen, and stage. The sprung wooden floor is excellent for dancing.   The hall is 10.5 x 21m and has clear headspace of 4m. A well maintained child friendly garden is accessed via fire door near the kitchen. There are women's and men's toilets, which are not accessible to wheelchair users at the current time. There is a local bus stop right outside the hall.

The Hellliwell Room is our smaller hall, situated to the left of the main main church hall and is access via ramp or directly from the car park. The Helliwell room is a light and airy room with large windows and black out curtains.  There is a projector and screen, ideal for meetings. ​Features: A small kitchenette with microwave, fridge and sink, and disabled access toilet with baby change facilities. ‍ There is a local bus stop right outside the hall.

The Blancharde Room is our smallest meeting room.  Situated to the side of the Main Hall, the Blancharde Room shares an entrance with the Helliwell Room and is accessed directly from the car park or via a pedestrian ramp from the Main Hall entrance. ​The Blancharde Room was refurbished in 2024 and offers a bright, quiet space for small meetings or one to one sessions. There is a local bus stop right outside the hall.

In the same building as the Leahy Main Hall is the Hiorns Hall (or Small Hall). This is a smaller meeting room suitable for up to 60 people and measures 9.6m x 7.4m. It has a hard wooden floor and a grand piano.

Our hall is a convenient and flexible space that is ideal for parties, small events and community gatherings. We hire the space for one off events. We have an excellent kitchen, with a serving hatch into the main hall. Serving buffet food, cake and drinks is included in the hire fee. The Taylor-Bassett room is in the new community centre built in 2022, next to the beautiful Christ Church building consecrated in 1848. The church’s purpose-built hall is on Hendon Lane, just past the main church building. The Leahy Hall (or Large Hall) is a room capable of accommodating up to 200 people and measures 18.9m x 9.1m. There is also a large well equipped kitchen available for hire. It has a stage, wooden floor and upright piano.

Darkroom Studio

A beautiful sports hall with auditorium seating and access to great outdoor space. 350 capacity varies depending on if you want the retractable seating in or out. There is a small kitchen available upstairs for an additional charge at checkout.

Our high ceiling and large windows are key features in making this Main Hall suitable for large events for up to 400 people. There are tables and chairs available and a large curtain to section the room off into two parts. Our tables are bench dining tables that fold up in the middle.
